We are pleased to announce that from February 2025 we are hosting a series of live online Shaping Excellence CPD sessions to support the integration of new technologies for learning.  The focus of these sessions will be to build the capacity of colleges to make full use of new technologies (CAVE, AI tools, VR etc) to enhance and improve the quality of learning and to ensure students gain the digital and technological skills they need for work.

In our first session, colleagues from Hopwood Hall College will be sharing their quality first approach to integration and use of tech for learning and how they are developing their capacity to integrate current and emergent technologies across the college.  We will also have colleagues from other colleges sharing their curriculum focused development, reflecting on how they are working with teachers, employers and students to co-design both resources and their wider curriculum.

Following this first session we will be hosting a series of “lunch and learn” sessions on specific technologies and curriculum areas, sharing practical tips for teachers and curriculum leads on when and how to use new technologies from CAVE to handheld devices.  We will shape these sessions around your priorities and throughout will support you to develop your own capacity to make full use of current and emerging technologies.
